Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Howdy Hey from Kansas City Missouri (Misery)...
I own "Jonyjams Computers" & "Jonyjams Studios" (recording studio) in Wellington Missouri.
We have a little over 150,000 machines spread out over the good ole USA (25 years), and have lost count on all the repairs done in my shop...
Yup, I'm older then dirt. Not sure you youngins know anything about the good ole Sinclairs or the "Lisa"?... (talkin late 60's and early 70's).
At any rate, I rear from that world and later studied Plastic Technology and was fortunate enough to be on the ground floor as an engineer to help Kraft foods Inc convert glass over to plastic. Later designed & engineered 2 very successful Continuous Extrusion and Micro-processing plants in Illinois and Missouri respectively. (what a cut throat industry)...
Food for thought... "It doesn't take a good machine operator to make a good machine run, It takes a good machine operator to make a bad machine run"... at any rate...

Through a google search looking for parts is how I found "Badcaps".
Surfing through the site reveals a ton of Knowledge and help...
    Glad I found the place...

            Hi,

I'm an embedded systems engineer that started a company in electronics repairs in the B2B scene quite a while ago. Lately I've been repairing more and more consumer devices so being part of Badcaps where a lot of knowledge and information is available is a plus.

            Greetings Jenne

                    Howdy.

My name is Jason. I am a Diesel Tech full-time. Because of the cold weather, I prefer to work on TV's in the house. I flip TVs and cars. I found this site because of a typical Vizio issue with the mainboards. Also because of this site, I ventured beyond my comfort zone of soldering and I'm looking forward to expanding on it.

Hi guys and girls. I'm a new member. Just reading some of these posts make me realise that I'm so much a beginner it hurts.. Well not a new starter as such but a variety tech. I got 20 plus years on industrial fault finding I. E. Anything electrical used to make anything electrical. Got a 'bit' of knowhow on multiple makes of Cnc controllers, plcs, basically anything that needs fixing yesterday! Usually under emense pressure to get things running again. I'm 40 something, with a bald spot at the back of my head that is quickly having a meeting with my forehead. I'm here for info but I am liking the tone of these posts. Who said techs can't be comedians?? Nice to be here. 😜

                                Hi guys,
My name is Rocky. I work on computers and own a computer shop. I stumbled on this site because I want to get into learning how to fix electronics as well. For example I am looking to replace some caps in one my power supplies. Other than that I am a single parent to a 17 year old son. I enjoy hunting and fishing with my son. We also work on cars. I look forward to meeting new people, and having interesting conversations plus learning new things!
