    asus e203n

    Hello people

the diode and the coil seems to have shorted. the problem is that this part of the circuit seems to be connected to the 1.2 v rail which is part of the processor.

i don't know if the short is in the processor , coil or diode.

if i attempt to remove the diode/coil , what protection can i use for the processor so that it does not internally burn out.

Exact Resistance to ground on that coil? Schematics available?

very difficult to get schematic. resistance in that entire circuit which i have highlighted is very low on a good working board 65.5 ohms.
on this board somewhere around 20 ohms or less.

Remove the coil and measure resistance on both pads.

It does not damage the processor when you remove the coil and 220uF cap. Check two MOSFETs before coil. You can detect the heated part by giving 1v for the post coil.
I'm not happy to be so strong. because it's not humanly
