    Panasonic TC-P50G10 DEAD

Hi everyone I have a plasma here that is absolutely dead no power light. When I press the power button the relays click the fan spins for a second then it's dead and nothing happens on the screen. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm starting to believe it may be the power supply?

Use the forum search, it brings up quite a few results.

Well it appears I can spend $200 on a used good sc board or spend like $70 on a repair kit for the sc board. I think I will just have to throw in trash if not economical to repair.

Reading a few threads people do fit the sc kits only to turn the tv on and board blows up again (missed one faulty part etc thats not in kit) maybe some boards are salvagable for re sale/spares so not a total loss.

Yep and that just confirms it every where on the interwebz you here of people replacing like $200 in boards to still not have it work well sorry but this one unfortunately is going in the e-waste bin.

Not totally e-waste, you can disconnect the SC board and test if everything else works, remove the cable from P-Board to SC and the flat from A-board to SC, it should come on with no image but green light, VSUS, Vda and VE on the SS board.

The A board has some value plus the power supply.

there are "used boards" on aliexpress for less than $100. I guess it depends on the gamble. Probably limited overall value at this point in the technology. I guess it would depend on its history / abuse.

Ya and who knows what else is wrong with it plus im trying to flip these tvs and if I can't fix it economically for re-sale I can't do it.

If it helps; here is the service manual for it:
                            http://www.sm.azhand.co/ServiceManua.../TC-P50G10.pdf
                            It's actually impressively comprehensive.

decent tv - can be a nightmare to repair (especially PWB). fixed a couple of these and they are a challenge.
