hp g6 shutdown when connected to charger.

    hp g6 shutdown when connected to charger.

    if it runs on battery work normal , once i insert dc charge it will shutdown ,

    it have a bq738 , replaced with a 728 but the same issue happen , so i think not a charging ic problem.

    only with dcjack , without battery does the same issue ,start to enter in windows then shutdown.

    resuming it will only shutoff with dcjack on .

    anyone had this kind of issues ?

        It seems that motherboard is a QUANTA R33, and BQ738 is PU9. (BQ24738)

        Check value of esr of +VCC_CORE, there is many tantalum capacitors in this line.

        Note that there isn't any NEC-TOKIN capacitor.

          A few days ago i found 2 diodes connected to ground go bad and a fet that was used to discharge.
          Do a fast check and see if you got any short near dc jack.
          Just cook it! It's already broken.

                  yes i have the same probleM with my DA0R33MB6E0 REV e INTEL CORE I3 WITH NO DEDICATED GRAPHICS CARD...HOW DID YOU GUYS SOLVE THIS PROBLEM

                        BIOS (basic input/output system) chip on a computer's Mob that recognizes and controls various devices on the Mob ,EC/KBC stands for "Embedded Controller/Keyboard Controller & to flash BIOS you need bios chip programmer tool kit (Ebay)
