Re: Apple MacBook Pro A1502 (820-3476-A)

I tried more versions with 138.Bxx, but still the same problem that I freeze on the first screen and no response.

The only version with 142.Bxx "works" will also freeze on the first screen, but the speaker will sound "select language for installation".
If I use the up and down keys, the language changes and I hear it, but I only see the first apple screen.
As if the graphics card did not initialize.

If I use the original BIOS, the graphics will switch to the screen where I will write that the machine was blocked.
I warn that he does not want a password.
I know how to delete the password.

Can anyone advise me what to change in original BIOS dump.

I had this problem once and I had to rewrite the original BIOS.
I paid enough money for it.

                Hey mate,

Try this file, I had to use this to get a Fledging SSD working on a Macbook Pro that was running 0138 EFI Bootrom.

This is EFI Bootrom revision 0151 for the 820-3476 A1502 MacBook Pro 2013/4. The ME Region is clear on it and there's no passwords set.

You must us a HEX Editor to change the serial number at block 63043B, it's currently set to 11111111111 so it will NEED to be changed.

Also, within the first few boots you will need to reset the PRAM, which is holding the P, R, ALT (Option) and CMD buttons before pressing the power button and keep holding the 4 buttons till you hear the second 'bong'. This will flush any stored passwords in the NVRAM/PRAM.

Hope this helps somebody out as much as it helped me.

                        Hey all.

Got this 820-3476-a that came to me with late display.
Chimes, but image only appears almost at the end of the bar loading of OSX.

I see flux on the SMC and bios ICs.

Would it be bios issue and needs clean me region?

                        Heres the bios dump.

Thanks for any help on this!

                            Hi Peste!
                            Thank you.

No , back light still only turns on near the end of the OSX loading bar...exactly the same thing.

Could it be that someone applied a 820-3476-A model SMC no?

Or this is only BIOS related?

                            Thanks!

I meant an SMC of a 3476-a board but from another year maybe?

What matters is the board model number. If the SMC comes from another 820-3476 board it's good. If it comes from another model you can have all sort of weird problems.
In this case 820-3536 is compatible too.

                                  Hi Piernov!
Thanks for the input. Well noted, nice to know that.

Sou in this case for a late display, thats only bios related for sure?
Have tried with the previous dump but issue persists.

                                  Any idea?
                                  Thanks!
