    Hello,

    I have an ACER GD245HQ.
After unplug the AC cable et replug it the screen is totally dead.
No standby led and no power on when press power button.

I check the power supply board 5V and 22V are ok.

I try to reflash the eeprom MX25L1605A with an dump that i found it on web.
I check the 3 DC converters on main board it seem ok .
But always no power totally dead.

    Have you an idea?

    Thx

I found the first problem it was the IC I204, i rehot it and the screen work.
But the screen is blank (white screen) i checked the voltage on tcon it was 2V (the normaly voltage is 5V) I unplug the panel cable voltage And now the Regulator I202 at the V_out i have 1V ( the normaly voltage is 3,3V) I checked the regulator it is ok.
Whithout this regulator ic i have on the Vout on the board 1V
For the regulator I203 , the V_out is ok with 3,3V

          Do you download bios?

            Hello,

My screen does not work after unplug from sector (no LED, no light, nothing). And after a random time, work again.

I have the same issue. I changed all caps on driver card (x14) and the two MKP X2 on power board. But issue is the same.

Could you please send me the BIOS file ?
why did you weld the IC I204 component ?

            Thank you

Re: ACER GD245HQ totally dead no power

The problem with this monitor is often in the Regulator G966A (SO-8) when it heats up, the power can recover.

                Thank you!

                I will check the both G966A (I204 / I207).

For the BIOS file it's the I403 (MX25L1605DM2I-12G-GP) do you confirm ?

                Mine is labeled "E6BF" :

                    Hi,

What do you mean with "Heats up".

Every time I unplug the cord (not very often) the monitor doesn't turn up.
No blue led on near the switch, no image, not backlittle.

Normally it recovers after some time restarting the computer, but not this time (or I haven´t waited enough).

                    Any suggestion?

                    Thanks, much appreciated

In my case I can hear windows detecting the monitor but it doesn't turn on.

In the Device Manager the Monitor is there, so somehow power is reaching...
For the last 8 month I never switch it off.. just leave it until it got into standby with PC is off.

I remember the switch button was not working very well either before...

It turned out to be the fault of the G966A (so-8) stabilizer near the power connector. It produces 1.25v per left percent, and while the cold one does not turn on. One has only to slightly warm it up (touch with a soldering iron, blow with a hairdryer) - immediately 1.25v appears at the output and the board starts up.

this morning when I plugged in, didn't work.

Then I start opening and check the switch as before it was not working very well. I disconnect the switch/board (with all the buttons).. plug-in it.. and it worked.

Then.. remove cord, plug cord, not working again,,, remove/plug again, it turns on.. This cycle turn the monitor on 1 or 3 or so.

I open fully open the monitor and nothing seems broken.

I cannot find the regulator G966A (so-8), I might be blind....

Where in the diagram I can find it??

They are found on the main board.

                                ah, ok thanks.

But that issue with the regulator will resolve my issue? or a chance of? It seems very weird to turn on only 1/3.

And did you change it? But I am sure your are not hotting it up manually every time your unplug it

I checked the numbers and in my case it is: M193 966A-25 and M193 G66A-25 (this one I am not sure about the G because it is quite blury) the nearest to the power connector

So they need to be changed to new ones, is it their disease or look for analogues, you need to look at the datasheet.
