Hello everyone. Thanks for the warm welcome TC. My name is Sylvia, 49 yrs old, I'm a single mom, with an autistic child. My son will be 16 on the 25th of this month. I'm a jack of most trades and master of few. Divorce taught me lots....independent for one. I have a 1987 Mercury cougar, have had it for 15 yrs and it still runs. It looks like crap on the outside, the interior is falling apart, I don't really care about the appearances. She still runs! :-) I have an associates in computer networking, and i'm a certified flat stick welder. Wait it's been over 6 months so I guess I'm not certified. I'm also a certified small animal Dietician, and a vet assistant. My likes is watch movies, play world of warcraft, and play on the facebook casino games.

This place looks like a great resource for information, so I thought I'd join. I'm normally a lurker on various fora so I may not be very vocal, unless my Plasma goes down... ;-)

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Greetings all! Been recapping clumsily for a few years (older tube amps mostly) and ran across this while looking for help with a Fisher CA-880 that has no/very low audio on one channel (oddly, the mono works both channels fine...just not in stereo).

Look forward to sharing and most likely learning from the members here. If anyone has info on the no audio issue mentioned above, please let me know - I've been scouring the threads but there's a lot more to go.

I'm also recapping the main amp section of a Marantz 2216 (my current amp with the same lack of audio on one channel) as well as replacing the transistors (one had blown) so I hope that fixes that!

My current (when working) stereo setup is the Marantz 2216 and/or Fisher CA-880 powering a pair of Tandberg Studio Monitor speakers (the best speakers I've ever heard, fwiw) as well as a pair of University 315C 15" 3-Way Super Diffaxial speakers (awesome sound as well!).

                                      Best regards, Mrpriapism
