MPM is not unlocked. Will not be able to set BIOS settings.
Please escalate with UUID to get SMC blob to unlock MPM。

NbDmiFit-2.14-1 Unable to change the DMI. Try to read the data in the BIOS to change it. The original data will be automatically restored after power on. What do I do?

I'm going to edit the new DMI information, rewrite the BIOS again, and discharge the built-in battery of the notebook.

I set the wrong DM information. Even if I rewrite the BIOS and EC, it will recover itself. What should I do?

                    Hi there,

I have a Elitebook 865 G9 comes with a 4G card, Intel XMM 7560R, and I want to upgrade to a 5G card, the laptop can only install a 3042 NGFF, and I checked HP spares pool, found T99W175.

When I try to install a 5G Qualcomm X55 T99W175 (3042 NGFF HP version from elitebook with intel CPU) on G9, shows POST ERROR, 703.

HP denies there is any whitelist setup in computers after 2016, however...this is definately a whitelist. Later HP replies due to FCC blahblahblah...I didn't buy it and kept asking, HP rep even offer me a good discount to buy another G11.

But I just want to use this G9 for a longer time as it stays with me for past two and half years, I upgrade it with 32GB ram and a 2TB ssd, clean the dust change thermal pad every six months, really want this old pal to serve more time.

Finally a guy from help desk says it's actually because of the BIOS and card ID doesnt match, triggers POST ERROR, which I understand is a whitelist.

Only way to solve it is either put card ID in Bios, or remove whitelist from Bios. And I'm here.

Hope I can find a solution here also learn more knowledge for computer.

                    Have a lovely day everyone!

next time look for a thread with the name and model, motherboard model of the laptop, and post there, if you can't find it, then make a new thread..

                    Hello everyone,
                    I have a Elitebook 865 G9 with a locked BIOS 😕
I've read both chips, made photos with the location of each Chip. The orig.bin file is the BIOS Chip from the front side of the board where the RAM Sticks are and scoring.bin is from the backside of the board. I don't know where the password reside so I've read both of them. If anyone can help please 🙏🏻

                              There is a few important steps;

Bios chip must be erased before fashing new file.

Restore all bios setttings at firts boot.

System will be run in MPM mode. You need add missing informaitons. (serial number, machine code vs.)

                                Hi guys,

If someone would be able to provide some expertise, I'd be very grateful.

                                BIOS Corruption - Cause
So I managed to corrupt my machine by installing linux and enrolling custom secure boot keys. I did choose to enroll the Microsoft keys as well, to prevent any potential bricking due to 3rd party drivers from HP being signed with those keys.
After doing that, and rebooting(it did boot, powerLED, fanspin etc.), the laptop did not give any video output on the LCD or video connectors. I think I was able to get in BIOS and trigger the beeper by pressing ESC....

Need Help With CH341A Programmer & BIOS Password Removal (HP Elitebook 835 G11)
                                by KingCracked123
                                Hey everyone,

I recently bought a CH341A programmer, but I’m still not 100% sure what to do next. I couldn’t find any tutorials specifically for the HP Elitebook 835 G11, so I’m trying to piece things together.

From what I’ve learned so far, the process looks something like this:
                                1. Use the programmer to read the chip.
                                2. Save a backup of the dump.
                                3. Open the .bin file in Hex Workshop.
                                4. Replace certain lines with “FF”.
                                5. Write the modified file back to the chip.
                                6. Boot the laptop → password should be gone.

I’ve also heard that some systems have both a Main chip and...

                                Elitebook 850 G5 BIOS bricked

                                Hello,

I have an EliteBook 850 G5. After a Windows update, including a BIOS update, the notebook turns on, but the screen remains black, and the fans spin at high speed—nothing else happens.

I assume the BIOS update failed, so I searched for the BIOS chip.

I found a Winbond chip located between the RAM and the hard drive, which has a size of 32 MB.

However, the BIOS update available on HP's website is only 17 MB in size. I used the update version that was previously installed when the notebook was still working.

                                Can the corrupted...

Dynabook Satellite Pro C50D-B-100 - BIOS Issue, Black Screen
                                by wizard13
                                Hello everyone,

I am experiencing a BIOS-related issue with my Dynabook Satellite Pro C50D-B-100. When I power on the laptop, the screen stays black, and there is no response from the system. I suspect a corrupted BIOS.

I have checked the forum and the available documentation but could not find a solution specific to my issue.

                                Hello everyone.

In the last 8 months I have manually flashed about 150 HP laptops (BS series, Probook, Elitebook and Zbook). There are about 50 HP laptops, as I have already written before, they have been automatically flashed through windows updates.
Approximately 15% did not start after flashing.
I got the HP Pro, Elite and Zbook to work again with the exception of one using the familiar key combinations or the well known bios flash stick methode.

An Elitebook 840 G6, like many HP notebooks from the BS series (exclusively those with dedicated graphics c...
