Hey everyone, I have one of these units as well and would like to save it from the trash. I'm new to all this. The BIOS chip is the one labelled MX25L12873F, correct? I tried attaching it to a Raspberry Pi via a clip (without desoldering) and read it via flashrom, but it does not recognize the chip at all.
Of course I could buy a proper programmer and/or desolder the chip, but perhaps that's overkill. Maybe I just messed up the pin contacts.
How did you dump the ROM? Anything special to look out for?
Hello, may I pls kindly request to reveal the password for the attached BIOS dump? I bought this N4640G used, but neither I nor the seller know the BIOS password. Dump has been made using a CH341A. Comparing it to other dumps here in the forum it looks reasonable.
Donation is guaranteed on success! If the dump is not usable, pls give me a hint to improve it. Thank you!

Hello I am completely new here and just starting with this stuff as I got this Acer Veriton but bios locked. I downloaded the asprogrammer and created 3 bios files using clip reader. I verified them by comparing hash files for all 3 and they were the same. Now to the point. I would like to learn a bit more but also I doesnt have that much time. I seen that you can somehow find out what the password is in this bios dump file. Can you tell me more how? I figured its from keyboard scancodes but I dont know exactly where to look for them or how. I tried googling a little but not much luck. Do I need more programs to look into the dump file or I can find it in this asprogrammer? Thanks. I attached the zip with 2 dumps from this PC.
