PSU from iMac 2007/2008 614-0420 Delta

Yesterday i received an iMac 2007 or 2008 (cant tell, the serial number is not known at appleserialnumberinfo.com), but it is a 20" 2.4 Core2Duo, so it must be a 2007 or 2008 model.

Well it turns on load a little the OS and turns off again. First i suspected the GPU but it also turns off hanging in the Bootmenu, so i now suspect the PSU. Sometime it directly turns off before or just after the Chime

The PSU is a Delta Electronics 614-0420. Now what could that be? I noticed someone already has soldered on that PSU, at least it looks like that. I can check the capacitors later on.

Is it getting through the POST(Power on self test) and then shutting down when the OS(operating system) starts to boot up? or
IS it not fully getting through the POST before it shuts down?

I got it running. It is that damn GPU, not the PSU. I found a second PSU here (yeah i got some spare parts here) that one did the same. So i started the Mac without the GPU and it did not turn off. So i reflowed the GPU and now it is working again.

On a Mac it is always the GPU.... well mostly...
