    LG 32LE5500 bad video

HI guys, i have this set with bad video, stripy jittery as best i can explain it.
A youtube video is here below
    https://youtu.be/dqxnZPAzo-U
I have attached some pics of the boards.
The PSU voltages seem fine with no ripple
There are two voltage regulators on the main board and measure 1.5V and 1.8V
I suspect the main or tcon but might be wrong since i dont have a schematic for them.
Is there any way i can prove its not the main so that i can focus on the tcon?

    Regards

Looks like a bad T-CON Bd. to me.

There a voltages test points on the T-CON Bd. to measure. However, you could disconnect one of the Ribbon cables connecting the T-CON Bd. to the Long Panel Bds. on the Screen. Do left side then right side and see if either half picture shows good or not.

I had done this test and it did not help. The side disconnected was white and the other side was making those same stripes. It did this to both sides. What does this mean? Panel or Tcon or main?

It looks like main board issue.
Did you try heating or cooling the main board to see if it has any effect? Try that on T-CON too.

              Hi Budm,
I heated the main board and when focusing heat on the processor the fault went away completely. This is a BGA type chip. There is no way i could resolder this chip. This one's going to the landfill.
Funny enough it is working fine now, and i did not apply much heat either.

Maybe do a reflow, lots of tutorials on youtube about what temperatures to get to and so forth, sounds like it might respond favorably.
