sony vaio SVE151J13M

hy guys!

i`m working on a sony not a old model.
MB model da0hk5mb6f0 mbx-269 REV: F (i got NO schematics)

The problem is : power on for 2-3 sec then shutdown all led near power button blink at that time then off.

the first think i poke around was the ISL88731

got 3.3v on power button.

VCC - 5.03V PIN26
DCIN -18.5V PIN22
VDDP - 5.04V PIN21
ACIN - 3.47V PIN2
VREF - 3.19V PIN3
ACOK - 4.63V PIN13

any idea its welcome

with the measurements you got, it looks it is operational. start with this schematic.

i did a reflow it power up but no img , after that got the same sympth power up for 2 sec then off
any advice?

Check pin 8 (ICM) of IC ISL88731. It controls the current consumption.

Do you have a BIOS dump for this board maybe?

i had diferrent prob.same laptop in my case display become dull
i had check fuse near lvds conector its open ihad change the fuse but prob. is steel ther.
please help ....

I got like 3 notebooks like this same crap.
only one there was a lcd connector on the board with bend pin that when I power it up I think something burn.

with the one from the first post I wont even touch it without a bga station.

I can imagine the situation, you know my laptops and I have some more to do as well.
Mostly Toshiba. I finally got the Ene chip today to fix the Packard Bell from some weeks ago.You saw the disaster. Then there is of course still the Sony, which I would like for myself. Finally a decent laptop and I can't get him fixed and no schematics,
But lets keep a good faith and fix the basterds.

power up and die it will be a power switched rail problem. chceck all big coils for voltage rise. if some coil voltage dont rising there could be problem

well mine doing the same , but a store delivered it to me saying it was not displaying imaeg , but all the time i press it light up then fade out after 2 or 3 sec
tryed insertnig a new dump , but gives always error in the end !

ok fixed , with the dump ,

something strange usually before reprograming the mchien erase the chip then it programa , but like this was giving adressing error on the end .
so i tryed erasing first the chip , and then presing program , and it sucessfuly worked out , installed the rom on board and its working now
another one solved , thk fr the share guys
