Pin U82 gave 3.3v at first then 0v.

Is it possible that I killed it? I was careful not to short anything but those pins are very close together.

That's why you're not checking the actual PINS, but closest components connected if applicable...
If not, I have a pre-made probes from sewing needle & testing under microscope...
Hope You didn't kill it...
Try to clean it with IPA & toothbrush, it may help...

Also check resistance of PIN8

Don't like the look of pin 8 anymore, I've flattened the solder with a bit too much pressure for the probe.

Might touch my soldering iron to it.

May be the case...If you got hot air station, use that one & good amount of flux...

Yeah got hot air. Resistance @ pin 8 2.65 K Ohms

Hi Guys, had to give this up in the end. Refunded the client for the HDD & charger. (goodwill)
