This raise a ire to the panasonic attitudes to customers and servicers and their prices.

Panasonic used to have us service their stuff till several years ago then they withdrawn our authorization for not enough flow, but really the reason is hassle they raise with our repairs/paperwork, poor service info, and customers shying away for price vs value ratios, ghost bulletins that we had to fight for, etc. This befall the JVC too. I was regetful to see JVC go.

This point is this is important for makers to take care of servicers and in turn helps to keep customers happy.

              Cheers, Wizard

Funny thing - Matsushita used to be top of the heap in quality until a few years ago. Almost any Technics system from the 80s and 90s is likely to be working perfectly today. And those of us who're using FC, FJ, FK or FM-series caps swear by them. I hope they don't raise prices on their caps as a result of the closure of Panasonic Malaysia, which made a great deal of the capacitors.

clever employees would buy them anyway...
now they wanna make sure ALL employees buy them....

That would be horrible if Matsushita didn't make it through this goddamn recession. They are the only company left making good Plasma TV's. Pioneer > Panasonic > anything else, but now that Pioneer is out of the picture...

Our new(ish) Panny plasma has only Rubycon and Nichicon caps. No Samwha/Samyoung/Taicon/"might-be-good-might-not-be" crap Samsung is using. And certainly better than the shit all the major manufacturers seem to be using in everything lately. I mean Yamaha receivers have Jamicon in them now for fucks sake. Yamaha! That name used to mean quality!

Their old Technics stuff is legendary, as are their 1200-series turntables which are industry standard for DJ's. Their caps are second-to-none. And they still make a lot of shit in Japan when everyone seems to be moving everything to China.

Man I'm gonna be pissed if they don't make it through this. They are one of the few companies still pushing out quality stuff out amidst a market of Chinese-made shit.

Panasonic is one of my favourites, along with Philips.

I do not like Samsung, they are weird.

And a friend of mine had a Samsung DVD drive which incinerated itself
