admins- moderator status or higher

I'd hate to see subjects end up there that would be of benefit to members here. Splitting discussions across 2 areas will be of no benefit here. If it's a "get to know ya" type of discussion, that's fine IMO. But, technical discussions really belong here where the full membership can see and respond.

I agree toast, I think it should just be to get to know each other and maybe educate other people, as well as promote badcaps.net, but all technical discussions should be kept on the forums where all registered users can read and contribute to them.

I don't participate in the myspace/facebook debacle, so whatever goings on that occur there are not related to, affiliated, or in any way official of badcaps.net. I give my blessing, but myself or this site's forum staff have no control over this. I don't mind branching, but if it becomes a form of 'competition' for this forum, that's when I'd have to ask that it be taken down.

All relevant technical questions and issues related to this forum that show up over there need to be referred here and not answered there, as that would tend to be more of a 'competing forum' using my name......which wouldn't be a good thing for anyone....

dont worry, nobody intended to compete with the original forum. we just want to have a little chit chat there.. i mean it's nice to know the nickname i see in the forum is a real human there.. i like to know who u are and whats ur activity..

its a social networking site. not quite chatroom-ish as you dont have mass live discussions- you can chat with added friends p2p though

and oh, before sombody asks, i am NOT starting a myspace group:

reasons:

1. myspace has no group function last i checked. you must add groups as friends.

2.myspace is now a facebook clone done bad. i think its a bit ugly myself. for me, anyway, most of my friends are on facebook than on myspace-many have both but still...

if somebody does want to start somthing, then go ahead, post it here or elsewhere

I thought maybe it was like Yahoo Chat or something where you can use a webcam or funny cartoons.
