    Variable DC power brick?

I pull quite a few DC power bricks from the bin at work, mostly out of curiosity and for parts. I've never seen one that doesn't specify a static output voltage before. I tested it at 20v DC without any load. I plan on opening it up for inspection since it has a date code from 1996-97. I assume some bad caps but who knows. Also, it has the very common 5.5x2.1mm barrel jack on the end.

So much for a 45w limit. It's an ambitious little supply... also not super efficient...
