The bios update was extracted using innoextract, the CAP header was removed with a hex editor then edited to 16MB ,your DMI was copied from your backup to the virgin bios,again with a hex editor.

Hi,

I'm trying to fix a relatives Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 14ALC05 that got bricked through Lenovo Vantage. The screen simply stays black and the Esc and Capslock LEDs are lighting up.

I dumped the bios with my CH341A and flashrom (I'm using Linux) and I've been trying to figure out what's corrupted by comparing another working bios I found here with the dump I made using UEFITool, but I couldn't find any corrupted sections..

I hoped I could merge the latest BIOS from the Lenovo Homepage which I extracted with innoextract and the Insyde Extractor but I'm kind of overwhelmed.

Might someone be able to help me with this?

Thank you @hoaca388 it worked, the laptop finally boots!

The serial number and activation key is still present in this virgin bios you sent, right?

I checked it with UEFITool but I couldn't find the OemActivationVar

Open your original dump, and go to 617000h, select block to 6170BFh, copy and then open hoaca388's file. Go to 617000, select block, size C0, paste write and save. I think that is what you need. Otherwise your winkeys start at 61709Ch and end at 617 0B8h. I'm not familiar with Lenovo DMI, but hope this bit helps.

Thanks a lot! Is the Windows Key the only thing that is unique in the original BIOS or does Lenovo store other unique values I should migrate?

So this laptop dosen't display image, all the rest seems to be working fine and i have looked every tiny thing and it seems to be bios related.

Here i let the BK file os the actual bios on system.

I have tried to do a new one but without sucess, here i let the link for the bios update.
