    Battery Charger - Transformer advice

    Hi
(not sure if this is the right place to post this but couldnt see anywhere else)
I Have a very old battery charger which was given to me - it is 6v/12v 10amp.
It is in like new condition and even in the origonal box - it works fine but is very noisey (buzzing)
It buzzes as soon as its turned on even with no load on it.
It appears to be the transformer thats making the noise.
Can anything be done apart from find a new transformer?
(Have attached a picture and a small video of the noise)
    Thanks

yes the buzzing is the laminations . i have in the past sprayed lacquer onto the laminations so it runs down into them .

Yeah the lacquer is a good idea, or you can just ignore it the buzz, it's not unexpected. My car battery chargers buzz, and I just use the noise as an indication it's on, as there's no other power indication...

Just as long as the transformer doesn't get really hot.
