The guys from Dell already "closed the door" for such a workaround in newer versions of the BIOS.

Yes correct!Now new E7A8 suffix have 5 different algorithm same suffix but Master password is different.Same as toshiba yet i know 3 algorithm different code or Master password.
Before i unlock dell 5400 suffic 8FC8 now i see lock suffic E7A8 he update bios and change algorithm.

why is this different than the available password on the key generator?


is there a 2nd generator or an encryption this uses?

Do the calculation, but use BF97 suffix and you will get a match to evserv password... why? I don't know, maybe a firmware bug that shows the old 6FF1 suffix, but uses newer BF97 suffix for master password calculation.

I have this laptop and i tried to unlock using the password generator. No luck
I downloaded another bios from some web site and i replaced the me section but still no luck. Any advices? THANKS
