hi trying to repair a Toshiba 24" 24d1434db TV has the vestel 17mb95s-1 originally had a red/green flashing light bought a replacement board was ok for 3 months now I'm having same problem. found a couple of firmware files on the net got it working again but displays upside down dvd functions don't work can any one help me

I have the eeprom dump from 24d1333db
This is the black version of this TV. However you'd need a eeprom reader to programme the chip + reasonable soldering skills.

Hi That would be helpful I have good soldering skills. also have a eeprom programmer. So I need to remove MX25L1606E. If you could attache the dump file I'll give it it ago

just to update i actually saved the file wrong its for model 24D1433DB

im confident this will resolve your issues. The only difference between models is yours is white and the 1433 is black.

Copied dump file to eeprom a couple of times but made no difference display still upside down same problems.

Dam it the screen used must be a different panel than yours, can you not just flip the lcd over in the case lol ?

Maybe they sell upside-down wall mounts.

I still have this TV, I use it for my microscope.

Btw when programming the eeprom did you use a new chip?

No I wiped then read it to make sure it was blank then programmed. Do I need a fresh chip ?
