Re: Logitech MX Master 3 dead

It's my OCD that tells me that this receiver is not faulty..
I dunno, out of a sudden what could be faulty on it.
There are 2 chips on the board and that is it.
But the problem is to reassemble it back like it was (brand new).
As you can see on pics metal shielding is damaged.
Is there any way to make it straight?
I tried to squeeze it on the sides but then I bent more the lower part of housing/metal and made it worse.
I simply don't understand why it won't bent back like it was as a brand new.
And as you can see these contacts on green board to me look like oxidated, correct me if I am wrong.

You tell us you have to hold the USB at an angle to work, that is faulty.
I'd buy a new USB connector and solder the old board to the new.

I'd live in EU or USA and wish I could order the new one.
You think I would bother with repairing this one if I could order a new one?

I live in the UK and I would just repair it, it's a receiver, it doesn't need to be pretty.

            How would you repair it?
When I plug it in the usb port the metal shielding takes apart from the plastic part...and stays in usb port.

I would throw away everything but the PCB which I would solder inside a new USB connector.

Which I would take from some old usb pen drive I suppose?
But how to hold together this plastic piece with the new usb metal connector?
Yeah but yet I ain't sure if the PCB is malfunctioning.
                How could I knw that?

You can buy DIY usb connectors that come with solder pads, connect those to the four worn pads on your PCB. Plug it in and test.

No I can not buy,as I told you,I can not buy damn display port cable here...
As I stated previously I live in f..d up country, where IT equipment is non existent.
                    Not to mention USB connector.
Can I borrow it from some used/old USB pen drive, though again I would need to separate the metal casing from the rest and not much purpose from it when I spread that metal part...
