LG 42LE7500 TV Backlighting but no Picture

Good Evening All. I have a 42" LG TV that was given to me and my background is more automotive electronics so was hoping for some direction on this. I can get around the TV okay, just need pointing in the right direction. This TV starts up okay and backlighting comes on with no problem but there is absolutely no picture. I have ran an infrared monitor over the power supply and most areas that I think should get hot, are, but that is obviously no measure of anything so where should I start with this one?
It has two boards in it. Mainboard and Power Supply I am assuming. I don't have any pictures yet but if you need them, I can upload some later on.
    Thank you in advance.

Yep, throw up some good straight on pictures of all the boards and one of the whole back and how they are connected, try test number 3 below.

Here are my pics. I suspect that 20V circuit may be a problem?

The cpu chip is in need of a re-balling, or a quick reflow with a heat gun on low for about 45 seconds. Remove the big black heatsink, then heat it evenly.

Thank you @tvtimmy for your response. I have seen where people have heated their mainboards in an oven at 380 for ten minutes. What you are saying is to just heat the cpu? Is that the only part that is losing connection? I can do that with my hot air station. Any recommended temperature? I generally run my station at 225 for most things. Thoughts?

Just heat up the chip under the black heatsink. A hot air station will work very well, only heat the chip . I put a towel under the board to prevent the surface mounted parts from falling off. Set the temp just over what it takes to melt leaded solder. Let it cool and try it out.

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
                  by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

                  Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
                  by TR103
                  Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                  - sound and backlight, but no picture
                  - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                  - it keeps rebooting
                  - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                  - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                  - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                  - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
                  by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Hello, Last week I bought the 50" Sony X80j tv everything was working fine, untill I plugged the tv in a ups power supply 650va the tv remote control became unresponsive and the TV became laggy after a while the picture quality isn't the same as before the tv seems less brighter and the picture is somehow blurry, people's faces don't look as natural as before, there is a mini orange-pink tint to the edge of people's faces especially in NETFLIX Dolby Vision like in One Piece ep1 Alvida skin tone, my intention was to protect the tv but something went wrong I checked the ups with a multimeter,...

Philips 58PUS7805/12 showed no picture; after T-Con replacement, shows halo
                  by Rauni
Hello, this is my first post on this forum, and my first attempted to repair a TV.

My Philips 58PUS7805/12 stopped working recently. It is not that old, about 5 years. We were on a trip for a few days and when we came back, it had stopped working out of a blue (Perhaps our house was hit by a lightning strike? Don't know.)

Read from a guide that I should test if the screen shows picture with one of the T-Con cables disconnected. Did that, it showed perfect picture (first on left, later on right side).

Read also that we should test what happens if we...
