HP6735s "invalid serial number", bios needed

Hello. Have this HP6735S with error "invalid serial number". i read about serial changers booting from usb, but i cannot make any usb booting from it. I see that bios ic was touched.

Bios bin from hp website have 2MB but i have only 1MB chip so bios is needed.

Its full AMD/ATI system

in schematic i found that there may be 2mb biios ic so maybe it was changed. but bios menu work ok even with 1mb bios ic

allready have it, but cannot boot to any device. when i show the boot order, no device is show.

anybody can me prove that this motherboard have 2MB bios?

give full motherboard code, or your dump before you wrote that bios with error message

when i have trouble i take serial and rest dmi data from on working bios, insert it to new bios from web and then write bios fixed with serial and everythig, do no error and no need for DMI tool

i want to do it too, but on hp website is 2mb bios rom and i have 1mb bios ic. but in schematic is 2mb ic so im bit confused

sometimes it so simple that thay put 2mb eprom, but bios is 1mb size so 1mb empty (0xFF hex)... ive seen it few times

pls give motherboard code to be sure, i can find dump from other working laptop

underneath that sticker is a motherboard code which is i guess 6050A2235601-MB-A03

all dumps i found are 2 mb.... schematics also says 2mb SST_25VF016B...

why not take eeprom from other non working board and put it in... its worth a try.... any 2mb spi eeprom should work

did you see traces of soldering when opened? maybe someone did some work before you... :/

i found the right ic in hp 625 board. programming with origo hp rom.

Solved.
i bad check bios id. it was 2MB, but it was corrupted. Cannot program it to end. So i took the same from HP 625 and program it. now i can see boot devices and can boot to DMI and change the sn.

I attach DMI with usb format tool.

i have a same problem on my HP Folio 9470 but this doesn't work, it seems my lap is suppose to be retattoo by this tool

for newer hp , like 9470M use wndmifit or biosconfigutility
