Asus X540up no power and won't on

    Asus X540up no power and won't on

    19v rail is present.
    3v and 5v LDO is present
    3v and 5v in coils are present
    powergood signal from main reg is present to SIO
    However no power light and charging light.
    3v is also present in power button but would not turn on.

        in my case it was cracked balls under cpu. after reflow all work

          Suggest the way to attack this case is to start with the charger IC.

          The charger IC is @ PU8001. See attached.

          PU8001 = ONSEMI NCP81216AMNTXG

          Then locate the datasheet for this component or reference schematic to compare the values on each pin of this part. So far, unable to locate a datasheet on the internet.

            do u realize that NCP81216AMNTXG is NOT charger ic? and so why can be charger ic bad when u have all stby voltages, so its function is mostly ok?
