        Do not bury the marked part with lead. Electrical signals do not appear to flow either.

          If you find the datasheet for that powerstage, you will be able to tell if that pad is necessary

              PWM pin is necessary. You should be able to eliminate to what pin on the PWM controller it goes. If you can recreate the pad, you can connect it. Not easy, but doable.
