The big green capacitors, next to the processor socket say "KZE" on them and when I searched for "KZE" on the message board, it appears that my Asus A7V8X-X likely is using Chemi-con capacitors.
...But Asus MAY have cheaped out, at least one capacitor between the PCI slots and at least one capacitor next to the DIMM slots say "OST". Because the motherboard is newer than 2002 and the OST capacitors likely have a low capacitance rating, the OST capacitors may not be prone to failure.
