Just check all voltages I am not sure if auto is meant to have power thru it.

also another thing to add the guy had the tv in his rumpus room and it barely got used.

just thought I would put that in as well.

yup got a saved search.

Also in contact with a warehouse in Australia.

So wonder why they didn't keep many spare main boards for this model tv.
(sort makes me think that this tv has had no issues with mainboards)
What happens when they wanna off load excess stock do they on-sell to other warehouses?

Quite possibly - about 90% of main board failures are firmware related IMO - but you will need the jig for programming the chip which will cost a lot more than the main board.

Seems to me that the chip in that link comes loaded with firmware.

Uh, yeah. For $276 you could probably buy a new 42" plasma. What on earth makes a company think that is a reasonable price for a replacement part.

yup well Ill will be buying it from applus

15 dollars shipping and 176 isn't bad for a tv.
I looked at second hand ones today in a second hand shop and the prices were around 600 - 1000 dollars for good branded sets.

Bad news on that board they do not have the part.
3 days after ordering my payment was rejected. so I rang to find out and it appears that they do not stock this discontinued part.
