Recomended tip for SMD Working for Hakko FX-951 Soldering station

    Hello Again

As stated , ive just got hold of a Hakko Fx-951 Soldering station , it looks quite like a toy my kid keeps asking about it , But im at loss at wich are the best tips for SMD soldering/desoldering.

I understand this station is compatible with the T-15 series , so if anybody has a recommended tip part number for this kind of work , It would be appreciated.

    Danke!!

I have done only a couple of SMD soldering, but I managed to do the job with a 1.6mm chisel tip.

CuriousInventor makes excellent soldering videos and did one on SMD (excellent 9 min video - he recommends no smaller than 1/32 inch or 0.8mm)

      Howdy retired!!

@video: bloody hell! that man is a machine , heart surgeon hand pulse lol.

Ill start looking for some 1.6mm chisel part numbers for hakko , Ive always heard to avoid those conical shaped tips , since the heat surface isnt big enough for any real soldering , guess theyre more than good in the proper hands .
