Re: Asus n50v bios remove password

Maybe problem is not in modified dump, I reflashed original bios, NTB started, but no bios screen, only power LED lit..,

Its possible corrupt some area of flash with programmer ?

Re: Asus n50v bios remove password

OK, Maybe there is a problem with the wrong programmer? I have an old Elnec that doesn't support it 25Q128FV SPI Flash, only 25Q128BV.
I used the setting for 25q128bv when programming.
Everything was done, Verify OK, but NTB not starting with original locked dump.

It doesn't matter if it is FV or BV.

Are you sure that all bios chip legs are soldered correctly and not shorted?
I usually push on the chip with tweezers when I solder wson8 chips.

Re: Asus n50v bios remove password

Legs soldered correctly, I Tested continuity from legs to pads,

There may be a problem in the setup secure and configuration bits ?
