Sharp Aquos LC-43CFE4142E only red light and won't turn on

    Hello,

This TV ran two months and suddenly without remarkable matters won't switch on again. Unfortunately the bill disappeared so Sharp refuses to provide the warranty... . Therefor I have to fool around with this scrappy device! But no time for tears - its an intersting excourse and a little bit of a personal challenge to me to solve this problem

...so, if power chord is plugged in only the red led is continiously on. I've tried all the different reset tips for Sharp models which Iwas able to find online. In all variations and even some random but logical possible combinations I could imagine. Spent a few hours without success.

At the moment it seems that there is no lazy way to get it up running again. No offense, so now I drive on the heavy guns and I hope to be here at the right forum where the appropriate ammunition can be supplied by you.

In preparation I opened the case and tried to measure the voltages. But the only point to measure I was able to find was the often mentioned possible cause pointing to this type of defect - the power supply for the backlight panel. At least I guess the plug named LED-Driver should it be, right?

There was a DC of 59V - as I read the "Basic LCD monitors troubleshooting guides" from this forum thankfully created by Bud Martin, this is a way to high, isn't it?

Okay, I took a few Fotos, tried to edit them a bit for the health of your eyes and hopefully you'll see immediatly what's to do next and could give me the right advices or instructions.

Additional there should be mentioned that there is no sound like a click or so when the device is powered up. And the screen remains totally black, no flics or flacs, wheter I tried to reset with the known key combinations nor if i tried to update the firmware according to the method given by Sharp's hotline. Right in front I'm sure the built usb-stick was properly formatted and the firmware in the mandatory way correct placed on it -
after all, I am an IT specialist.

Sorry for the long text, when I got it right this detailed description is the desired form here in - so I'm very grateful that you read until here and in firm believing you can give me the infos I'm hoping for.

Many greetings from Frankfurt in Germany

The pictures aren't dublettes - nearly on each I took a second one, slightly differed in perspective, so that something hidden or not really recognizable could stand out nevertheless.

Does the backlight turn on for a second, then turn off again, or does the TV just ignore everything and is stuck in STBY, bootup screen etc? Did you try to flashing the spi new firmware with a programmer yet? Check that the IR board is working.

If that thing is stuck in STBY, I would take the SPI flash off the main board, read it and save the dump, erase (or FF) the flash, check that the flash is empty (indicates a bad SPI) then flash a working dump to the SPI, solder it back in and see what happens.

      Check all the diodes.

Hard to tell from the pic. but D1 and C2 look like they could use some investigation to make sure they are alright.

Can I see good clear pictures of the whole backside of the TV so I can see how all the boards are connected together?
