    Schematic for qnap TS-453B

    Hi,

Anybody can help with a schematic for a NAS ? Namely QNAP TS-453B
On the board the only markings I can see are on one side
    HannStar K MV-4
    94V-0 E98382
    1647

    On the other side
    QY47 Rev:1.3 11611041346

    On the Box
    Model Ts-453B
    P/N 52100-002554-RS

Main issue is it's only doing a blinking red led... No other sounds or anything.
I'm curious if I'd get something on a serial console.. if it has any available.

    Thanks in advance!

the good news is it runs Linux,
    https://www.qnap.com/en/product/ts-453b

so they should really be providing the software and sourcecode under the GPL License.
being intel cpu, it may run a console over a usb-serial bridge if you have a serial adapter to plug into it.
or it could use one of the ethernets - can you sniff them with something like NMAP?

I doubt it gets to any of the linux part.
I thought about the console but I don't know any pins on the motherboard that would provide it.

Hi, This sounds similar to an issue I had with a nit a while ago. Did you check the LPC Clock signal ? Discussions and temporary fixes can be found here if you haven't and need to know how. A lot of units were shipped with faulty CPU's and exhibit this issue after a period of time.

Anyway, just a thought, hope it helps.

I see this is from a long time ago but I'll respond anyway. My TS-453 Pro had a jack inside that I could connect a 3.3 V TTL / USB like Adafruit Industries LLC 954. From there, I was able to monitor the boot process. the plug happened to be compatible with one of those sound card/USB cab.
