Help Salvaging Speakers from LCD Monitor

My LCD went out on my old (2002) monitor. The speakers still function. I hooked up sound to it & was delighted to see that I could still use it, but that was short lived. Evidently, it senses that no monitor is connected, and it powers the board down.

Is there a clever (or not clever) way that I can trick it into staying on permanently?

I've found the speakers on pretty much all monitors suck...

Anyway, take a better photograph of the lower left hand corner with the audio circuitry, you'll have to either override power to the amplifier somehow...

      The IC is TDA7496L: https://www.alldatasheet.com/datashe.../TDA7496L.html

When I press the power button, the monitor turns on. It turns off after roughly 5 seconds since no active VGA signal is detected. I can not figure out how to tell the audio portion not to go into standby mode.
