    12" Macbook 820-00045 PM_SLP_S5_L Is Missing

    Hello all,

I was supposed to only be replacing the LCD on this macbook but it ended up becoming a head ache. Original issue was bad display, after installing new display we found there was no video, but it did make the charge sound. Never heard the boot up sound however. After this I noticed some liquid around the edges of the board but I did not find any corrosion anywhere.

I ultrasonic cleaned the board and now I have no power at all, the charge sound has gone away. My ammeter says 20V 0A. I have all voltages up to S4 rails.

    ppbus_g3h 8.63v
    pp3v3_g3h 3.27v
    pp3v3r3v0_aon 3.26v
    ppvrtc_g3h 3.3v
    pp5v_g3h_ldo 4.57v
    pp3v3_s5 3.3v
    pp5v1_s4sw 0v
    PP5V_S4 0V
    PP3V_S4 0V

    After this everything is zero.

I noticed PM_SLP_S5_L is missing and thus S4 rails are not being turned on.

What might be causing this issue? Thank you in advance for your help guys!

You need to check all the PCH power supplies in the S3 and S5 states. For example: PP1V05_S5_PCH_VCCDSW, PP1V2_S3, PP3V3_SUS, PP1V05_SUS_PCH_VCCAOSCSUS.
