    Macbook A2338 820-02020

    Received a dead Macbook A2338 820-02020.
Voltage on PPBUSG3H_AON IS .5 Volts.

Can anyone here guide where to start looking for short or faulty components.

Remove all power. Measure the resistance to ground of the rail you deem to be low. Checking for shorted caps.

      You mean PPBUs_AON

        Hi,
I checked PPBUS_AON and found no short. Can you suh=ggest any other rail htat i should check?

It is very important to use only the full netnames from the schematic so we can follow the signals.

Yes, PPBUS_AON which is too low.

What is the exact resistance on this rail to ground ? No power -> meter in resistance mode (not diode mode). Post the reading and the scale used on your meter.

With the adapter connected to the logic board -> check if you have a voltage on pin # 1 of the fuse @ F5200. It is possible that the fuse is blown.

What is the input voltage for this buck / boost regulator @ U5200 (measure PPDCIN_USBC_AON) ?
