    Intel to Exit Traditional Desktop Mainboards

    Intel Corp. on Tuesday said it would gradually ramp down its desktops mainboards business in order to concentrate on mainboards for emerging PC form-factors. The company plans to completely shut down its desktop mainboards business in three years' time and will cease development of any new solutions later this year.

    I read this on another forum too.
    I'll say the same thing here: that's a good thing since Intel boards were overpriced crap anyway.

      They were well built though.

      Oh well, As long as they don't quit making CPU's all is good... there always is supermicro.

        maybe the retail stuff was overpriced but the oem stuff was cheap. great boards except for the nichicon HN problems which hit a lot of the range. just useless for overclockers.
