I got this power supply from a friend. I found it is somewhat different from other power supply. But I could not find the manufacturer's website and so I would like to post my question here to see if someone can clear my query.
When I use my other power supply to charge my 18650 lithium ion cell, there is always a charging current going through when the power supply is at a higher voltage than the voltage of the 18650 cell, even the difference is very slight. For example, my cell is at 3.75V, and I set the power supply to 3.8V, I can see that the power supply is charging the cell at about 50mA.
But when I do the same with the captioned power supply, there is no current going through the cell. (The display of the captioned power supply is capable to show current to 0.001mA). I have to increase the voltage of the power supply up to 4.0V before I can see current going through the cell.
Is there something wrong with this power supply or just I have not set the power supply properly?
