![]() Do they last longer than a month out of factory warranty, or still advisable to turn down the backlights? I'm probably not going to try doing this repair again, but you never know......

![]() I always turn down the backlights as low as possible. The TV is just about always drives the LED beyond the limit and they hope the TV will not fail before the warranty runs out.

![]() I've tried the stacking method 2 times and the damn lenses came off. I didn't get them on just right and you could see it when the set was running, bright spots everywhere.

![]() I had a 42LN5700 come back after 2 years and with 2 strips replaced and the backlight turned down to 55%. Found 2 short and 1 open on the original strips. New replacement strips are easy to find and not too expensive with lots of sellers on ebay and aliexpress.
