I have a Vizio 65” M65-F0 that was put into service during 02/2019 and is probably used less than five hours a week on average. The white light in the picture flashes on and off about once every two seconds no matter what I am using for the source. The sound and picture are fine otherwise— so very noticeable/annoying if the scene is dark, not as noticeable when the scene is bright. My questions are: 1. Will replacing the LED strips fix this problem or is it likely a board issue? 2. If it is an issue of replacing the LED strips, should I replace them all or can I just replace the one that is flashing? Thanks.

See page 14
Try setting the the Pictures mode to Standard.
Auto brightness to off
Backlights level to 50%
Then see what will happen, you may have to do this on all input sources settings.Never stop learning

Re: Vizio M65-F0 white light flashing on screen
I would turn off all the local dimming features.
Black Detail - Adjusts the average brightness of the picture to compensate for large areas of brightness. Select Off, Low, Medium, or High.
• Xtreme Black Engine™ - Based on the content, dynamically adjusts and balances the brightness and the contrast ratio of the picture by locally adjusting backlight zones.
• Clear Action - Reduces blur in scenes with fast action but limits the range for the Backlight setting.Comment

Re: Vizio M65-F0 white light flashing on screen
Thanks for all the responses. I made all the suggested setting changes and no improvement. As far as checking the LED driver board as suggested by xfox, that may be beyond my capabilities. I can generally follow YouTube videos on replacing boards/components but not sure how to check a board (other than looking for the tell tale brown/burned spot). I did find a YouTube video on how to replace the LED Light strips so thought I would ask to see if that could fix the problem. Looks like the LED driver boards are relatively cheap— would it make sense to try replacing that board? If that doesn’t fix it, would it make sense to replace the light strips? Thanks again.Comment

Re: Vizio M65-F0 white light flashing on screen
I have same tv model that had appearance of 1/4 of horizontal backlight to be out just as picture bellow. After replacement of burned out led on that strip strip works but now it is flashing half of the strip that was initially out, same as original poster. It seems to be that led driver is bad because now swapping places with original strip it makes is flash also. I ordered led driver board 0171-2471-0172 and will update result when i see how it goes.Last edited by gavric; 04-22-2021, 10:31 PM.Comment

“Hard to tell what happened, brandhr never reported back. ??“
Yeah, sorry guys. I got distracted/lazy and never attempted to replace the board. Was planning on moving and was going to leave this TV for whomever bought my house, but the crazy housing market put an end to that idea. I’ve also actually gotten used to the flashing light and I really don’t notice it very often. That said, I will be interested to see if gavric is able to fix the issue with a new board.Comment

by harpTo ask here... I have few devices with white screen problem, actualy nokia 2220 and some fuji? camera, and try to understand what is common problem to cause that issue.
Yes, both devices work everything else probably ok, I mean, I hear intro melody and keypress click sound, DTMF tone, power on off... all ok.
On desk is nokia 2220 slide, and I check all screen connectors and components arround it, measure voltage drop, but all looks ok. I suspect on slide flex cable, but it look ok and white screen is not interupt while flexing board, pushing conectors, and sliding up down. In attachment... -
by spice_discI'm currently trying to diagnose and fix my Vizio TV (Model M50-C1). I've tried a number of different basic solutions, but I'm trying to determine if my issue is currently a failing panel, T-Con board, or main board (or something else entirely) and whether or not it is worth my time to fix it. Details of the issue and what I've tried are below as well as why I think it is either a bad panel, T-Con board, or main board.
The Issue: The TV will be on and working fine but after the TV is on for ~5-10 minutes the screen will freeze (with sound continuing) until the TV reboots itself. While...1 Photo -
by Gigabyte_PLHello everyone,
I have problem with my Playstation 4 PRO. After a long break, I turned on the console and tried to play game. Game started, but after a minute it froze the console and crashed to the main menu. I tried running another game and the same problem.

I updated the software in the console. I unplugged the console, put it aside for a week and now I want to turn it on but there is no image. The console lights up white, there is communication via HDMI with the monitor - but only a black screen (but it detects the...2 Photos -
by Ryan.manHello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!
My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.
This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen... - Loading...
