    LG 47LS4500 picture issue

After swapping the power supply, this is how the picture looks. Vertical band lighter top to bottom of display

PS had a number of issues bulged electrolytics, 15A fuse blown, and one ceramic cap bulged. Might have been other problems too, but swapping the PS was simplest fix, and I have no information if the set had this vertical bar before PS died.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks

Grab the bezel with both hands and give it a squeeze, right there where the line is, try it on top and bottom, just squeeze the bezel, don't touch the screen, see if the line changes any.

Do you mean squeeze bezel at top and bottom of lighter area?

Tried squeezing bezel at top and bottom. No change--back panel is still removed from replacing PS.

I do get three blinks of the On/Off red light when the set turn on.

Feed it a signal see how it displays, maybe try a dvd player.

That vertical band band corresponds to one of the TAB bond/flex cables (second one in from the edge). You can try putting some pressure on it but likely not repairable.

If putting pressure works, it may be a candidate for the shimming technique.

Any particular method for this pressure treatment?

Tried everything suggested and no-go. It's headed to the curb. Thanks regardless
