LED 1 is a concern also though.... Can it really work with only 3 LEDs? 2 LEDs even?
i think only pin 6 the fault one... so just try this pin.

That didn't help, in fact the Splash Screen flashes quicker & dimmer now.

I'm not confident that I accurately measured the Voltage on Pin 6; maybe my DMM plugs weren't touching the pins properly or something. So I'm going to put Pin 6 back & test again, before possibly trying my luck with Pin 2 removed.

I do however have another idea which I would like to run by you; it involves the MPE Capacitor located right next to the connector in question, circled in red at the top left of the attached image. My TC1 LCR Tester is telling me that it's a Diode!!
Is this a sign that it could be damaged/faulty?
Could this component, if faulty, be responsible?

      Thanks

No, this ceramic cap are fine.. dont play with inverter boards to avoid make damage.
put the pin 6 in place . and the socket too, measure volts on DC , black probe on chassis and the red probe on each VCC only, remark the reading when tv turn on how high and low they go. so we will close which group are defect.

          Thanks Diah,

VCC (Pin 1) Rose To 75V & Then Fell To 5.2V Where It Stayed.
VCC (Pin 5) Rose To 80V & Then Fell To 5.2V Where It Stayed.

          Hopefully this tells you something?

so at first group VCC pin 1 and Led-1 or led-2 are fault. mean yours early measurements on pin6 not correct
att any way you have led backlight one at most LED are open.

As I came to suspect yes, but I don't see how the 75V reading means the VCC Pin 1 & LED1/2 group is at fault?

Should I try to power on the TV with Pin 2 removed?

you can try not only pin 2 but also 3 and 7, the idea on remove. because we dont see the led strips to test leds direct. so if one get shorted this move could... could help depend on which surprise we have behind the screen.

all those move pin test will never harm the set or backlight.

I just tried my luck with Pin 2 removed, but to no avail.

I put Pin 2 back in the plug, & tried again with Pin 6, & then Pin 7 but nothing made any difference.....

I am now completely stuck again; any suggestions?

                    Sorry, I meant to say Pin 3, not Pin 6; I tried 2, 3 & 7.....

you are not in stuck position at all.... we know the fault at LED backlight. and the screen must took apart to reach them for replace.

but i just keep writing to you on aim if we can use the TV with out take the screen out. to avoid panel broken or another cost of leds.

so do this test put the all pins in place and the black probe of yours meter on chassis and the red on all other pins one by one to read voltage at start ( when you plug the tv in wall ) remark the meter at start will go high then low then down when screen goes black. the reason i want to know exactly which line effected to consider way to trick it.

Re: Soniq E40S12A-AU Stuck In Standby

Hello again, sorry to let the issue go a bit stale.....

With black probe on chassis ground and red probe on each pin, here are the measurements:

                          VCC 1 (Pin 1) = 74V Powering On & 5.2V Post Boot
                          LED 1 (Pin 2) = 11V Powering On & 11V Post Boot
                          LED 2 (Pin 3) = 11V Powering On & 0.6V Post Boot
                          VCC 2 (Pin 5) = 74V Powering On & 5.2V Post Boot
                          LED 3 (Pin 6) = 11V Powering On & 11V Post Boot
                          LED 4 (Pin 7) = 11V Powering On & 11V Post Boot

LED 2 (Pin 3) being the odd one out; hopefully this helps us progress?

let us add resistances to this line to trick the circuit keep on in case need.
if you have "table lamp" with filament Lamp from the sockets take out the 2 wire of it and connect them between pin3 ( after you slide it out from sockets ) and the sockets pin3 , just try will not harm the BL or the circuit.

if you dont have then you must take out the screen.

Do you mean the filament from inside a light globe?
Like, smash the globe to rip out the filament?

Or do you mean connect a wire to each of a bulb's nodes?

normal bulbs used in table lamp etc which u used to plug it in wall socket AC ... dont beak it to take out the filament LOL.... just use it as it. so if it installed in table lamp example the socket of the table lamp where you pĆ¼lug it in wall take the wire out and put them end to end between the mentioned pins. ( dont forget if you use any table lamp or other device with this bulbs be sure if there switch need to be ON LOL

If I'm understanding you correctly, I may have something suitable; please see the attached photo & let me know if I'm on the right track?

It is basically a switch that plugs into the wall, with the two bare wires available at the other end.....

we just want to add it to this pin 3 line to increase resistances in hope the circuit remain on so you can use the TV.
