Hi, I am a tech newbie and I came here to see if I can learn something. So far, I read a lot of posts from people who seem to be REAL electronic engineers. It's good to finally find a place where people go in-deep with damaged units, and not just "have you tried turning it off and on again?" (IT crowd)

I have a Toshiba 40RV525U power up and sound feedback issue. It has trouble powering up as sometimes it takes a few tries. If no direct signal there is a loud feedback wail that won't stop until power is off. Other times it works great. We want to fix it but don't know what to change and where to look for part. Can anyone help?

Signed up so I could troubleshoot a TV. Found what I needed without posting a question, but am going to post a new thread about the problem and the fix so future users find an easy fix!
