KDL-46HX800 blinking 4 times wont turn on

Hi all,

I hope you can help me. I am a newbie in the TV repair area, I have a SONY Bravia KDL-46HX800 which it is in standby and when I want to turn on, the lights turns green and after 2 seconds it turns red and blinks 4 times.

I have been googling it and I could dissassemble and make sure it has 3.3v in the stand by pin. I would like to identify which board (Power Supply, main board or led driver) is the defective one so I can order a replacement.

1) Please attach the pictures here directly. I do not see the pictures of the whole back side of the TV showing all the boards.
2) What country are you in? UK, US,.....??????

Do you have 12V DC on both ends of the SMD fuse on the T-CON board with ref to chassis when TV turn on and the meter probes are attached.

That flow chart and the error chart on page 9 of service manual sony_kdl-40hx800_kdl-46hx800_kdl-55hx800_chassis_az1-l_9-888-329-03_ver.3.0.pdf does not look quite right since some of it referring to Balancer board (this not the BAL board), Balancer board is used on old SONY with CCFL backlights not for LED backlights.
So lest check the Voltage on power supply connector CN6753 (12-Pin version) pin 4 (GL_Error) to see what you have when TV is OFF and when TV is turned on, you will need to leave the probes in place while you are doing this.

WHY are you still posting on 2 threads about the same tv?? how are you going to fix it IF you can't even follow simple instructions???

What was rude about the question? Nobody wants to help someone who can't follow simple directions, remote troubleshooting is not easy AND 2 or 3 threads about the same tv IS what's RUDE and just makes a mess which takes much longer to find a solution for the issue.
