    Asking For Mosfet Equivalent Guide

Helllo Guys, i want to ask about Mosfets equivalent Guide, i have a shorted Dual N channel mosfet but i dont have it in my broken motherboards , so how i can pick the right equivalent mosfet that will work without making problems ,its an ic mosfet a dual N channel FDMS3615S and what i have is FDMS3600S would it work ?? cause i soldered it but it warmed up maybe there is a problem other than the mosfet , Vgs is the same in both of them but the difference is in Rds

    https://alltransistors.com/mosfet/tr...ransistor=6163

FDMS3600S has max current 15 amp at RDS 5.6m ohm
    Whereas

    FDMS3615S has current 16amp at RDS 5.8 m ohm

Change it there is 1 amp current difference
Use which has equal or more current capacity with equal vgs and sufficient drain to source resistance.

    Above link has equivalent suggested

When a mosfet dies, you need to ask if there is something on the board that killed it. While it is normal for transistors to be hot during operation, it is also the indication of a significant current going through it. You need to make sure that this isn't due to a short somewhere on the exit side.

Also when you replace a dead MOSFET, replace the MOSFET driver (or buck controller if it's integrated) at the same time.
