Hi,
I have this main board that appears to be the cause of my Sony tv not turning on. I have no standby lights, but do have 3.3 standby power on the power supply. All other power supply voltages checked out as well.
So after poking around I found the main board to have a few shorted caps.
I removed one side on each of them and no short. So I know I'm assuming it's not the caps.
I removed ic401 and still have shorted caps. Next I removed ic1201 ( it's below the green rca input) as 3-4 pins were going to ground. However the short is still there.
Hoping it's not the BGA chip but not sure.
Any help or insight from would be greatly appreciated.
Pic 3 I circled caps I found shorted in red
Thanks
