Insignia NS-40D510NA15 no picture only sound

Turned on tv one day and only sound worked

Checked for obvious blown caps and none found

I have my dvom ready. What should i check?
I only see 3 boards on this set

If the TV turns on with no backlights or a flash of the backlights, you likely have bad backlights. Especially with RCA or Insignia models.

the backlight does flash once

If the backlights flash, it's 99% bad backlights on an Insignias (or LGs). With a LED tester you can guess the pairs going to the strings and compare the voltages. Or monitor the voltages going to the strips when they flash with chassis ground as a reference. I prefer having new strips in hand before pulling the TV apart. If you are waiting on new strips for weeks or months, you may forget how the TV goes together, which screws go where or the panel could get damaged or collect dust. Just recently had a panel that was apart for 2 months have a flex tab bond come off on it's own when I reassembled it. It was stored folded over 180 deg.
