    Vizio E32-C1 No Standy Voltage

Hello. I am trying to repair a Vizio E32-C1 dead set. When I plug the set up, I don't get the standby led. So I assumed it was the power supply. Tested it and the standby voltage wasn't present. So I've ordered numerous power supplies (715G6934-P01-001-002H) and all of them have no standby voltage present, even with just the power supply plugged in. Am I getting bad boards or does this particular set generates its standby voltage from a different source. Anyone familiar with this particular set and power supply, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Lets see the pictures of your boards.

    is this your board?
So the connector of the power supply that goes to the moan board shows 0V on all the pins?

Hi. Yeah this is the board I have. I don't get any voltage for Ps On or any of the 5V lines. I do get all of the 12 volts for the 12 volt lines though.

I have ordered over 4 boards and all of them are reading 0 volts on all the 5V lines.

Well, that power supply is running.
Show us the whole back side of the TV so we can see all the boards.
This power supply only has 12V output, the 5V section is not used so the parts for the 5V power supply section is not stuffed with parts as you can see.
          PS-ON is not used either.

If you look at the bottom of the board, you will see the +5v is not used, If you have 12v the power supply is working

OK. With all Bds connected and screwed down in place, when you plug in the TV to the ac you do not see a stand-by led on. Now when you press the Power button on the TV or the Remote, the TV does not turn ON and the stand-by led remains OFF?

I have checked plugged the boards up and connected them and I still don't get a standby Led. Could the main board or led strips cause no standby led?

I pressed the power button on the TV. I have to find the remote to see. I was thinking maybe the power switch was bad also

Sounds dumb but did you check your power cord or try another one?

Lol. Yeah I checked it after the first 2 boards didn't work. I'll check that power switch and see if it's getting any power.

I can't imagine all your boards having the same problem but on some of these e model vizios the rectifier diode/s short out, causing a dead board. I'll leave this BUT I got my threads mixed up, was thinking you had a completely dead board so this doesn't apply here.

Power board is sending the 12V to run the main board, since you do not even getting the Standby LED to come on so you have something going with your main board but I cannot tell you where to check on your main board since we do not have the pictures of the boards.

The correct way to test the powerboard voltages is in #3 in my signature bellow, try to do it just as directed, looks like the 5v isn't connected, so don't worry about that one.
