    ASUS X555DG Overheating cpu mosfet when using dc power supply

    Hi all i've been working on a laptop that overheating on cpu mosfet only when using dc power supply
    Its not overheating if using battery power.
    Laptop type ASUS X555DG
    Did some rails on dc supply fails? Its hit over 80 degree at mosfet. And cpu got arround 70°ish. the fan kicking at max at this moments

    try a different psu or scope the one you have - if it has bad caps then the ripple will stress the parts in the laptop

      Found the issue. The cpu temperature sensor is not working. Thats why cpu run max speed and stressing the mosfet
