creative audigy 2 zs shorted goldfingers

managed to get my hands on one of those as they are the best sound cards for win9x machines. however, when i received it, i noticed it had some scratches on the goldfingers. please view the attached pictures.

so i wanna ask, do the goldfingers look scratched and shorted together to u guys? is it safe to plug the card into the motherboard without releasing the magic smoke from the motherboard, sound card or both!

check for shorts with a meter - clean it first with a rubber pencil eraser

damn why didnt i think of that?! lol checking for shorts with a multimeter?! its so simple!

anyway, i did it and there were no shorts on any of the goldfingers. so i got enough courage to plug it in and power on and no magic smoke or problems. testing it in a live session of win7 pe se and no problems. input from both line in and mic jacks work, line out jack works also tho i havent tested surround from the rear and center/sub jacks. audio was tested by music playback, web video/audio streaming and games. good sound from all those! nice card!
