Fake Rubycon YXA 16v 2200uf 10x20 from eBay?

Is this cap real? I see no Rubycon 10x20 YXA 16v 2200uf caps on the datesheet.

      I only see 12.5x20 at 16v 2200uf. The next down 2200uf 10x20 at 10v.

          Sorry MegaOne302 I missed the part "10X20".

I don't know what to say, maybe they made a mistake in the description.
AFAIK there are no 2200uF 16V with lead spacing 3.5mm and diameter 20mm even for other brands.

            Real or Fake?

            Should I just trash them?

              looks like they are real.
or the faker went through a bunch of trouble to make them look good which is unlikely.just because they do not show that size in the datasheet does not make them suspect.many mfrs.offer custom sizes .

Some of the genuine Indonesian-made Rubycon YXGs, etc. look a lot like the ones in the pics - I'm guessing they're OK, but it's safer if they're stuck on a paper strip in a rectangular carton, or in a 200 pc. bag with Rubycon Indonesia legends on it.

Cut-lead caps or loose (unbagged) Rubies are suspect, but not necessarily fake. You'll need to do further investigation to verify them.

Anything I could do besides ESR testing, something with a DVM?

                      Just tested @ .15 ESR

                      They are junk…

It's funny because all my new 16V 1500uf MBZ test @ .08/.09 ESR, but the specs says the ESR should be .013. Are the ESR meter readings accurate, showing the true ESR?

I did the two resistor calibration; it's a Blue ESR meter.

Opps, forgot to short the leads to zero the meter out. The 16V 1500uf MBZ now read .01/.00 ESR. Just wish there was one more digit on the display.

The Rubycon 10x20 YXA 16v 2200uf now read .07 ESR, still bad for a motherboard.

From looking at the datasheet, they don't appear to be low-ESR types.

I know that now; they were advertised as LOW ESR caps!

70 milliohms is about right for the 2200/16/10mm YXA - these are probably authentic, and ok for use on the VRM input (+12v) side. However, there are much better caps in similar dimensions - for instance, Panasonic FJ 1800/16/10mm with ESR ~0.02 ohms, which are better replacements for the same application.

Isn;t that the date code 0436?

                                    That means 2004 ?

Could the esr slowly migrates up?
