    Re: Computer speakers

person: hey! I put my computer speakers here while I went inside to take a piss, WTF happened to them???

kind of reminds me how after my suicide attempt I was cleaning out my apt to move back in with the folks, and throwing so much computer shit out. suddenly, I saw a dell desktop dimension next to the trash bins, I think 2600. I thought to myself, 'did I leave this here'. No, I didn't. I brought it in, had two NICE 1gb ddr400 c2 gaming sticks inside it. Also a P4 2.8. Person had like mcafee and norton on there and must of hated it being slow, tried to speed it up from the expensive sticks

Why hello there. For $190 on eBay, the bedroom has now become a theater.

        Re: Computer speakers

yes. i gave up on computer speakers years ago.

my computer connected via m-audio audiophile 192 card to 50w marantz amp which has 4 x B&W speakers in the corners of the room. its a 25m2 room and thats ok for now.

i am still investigating the next setup and at the moment it looks like it might be a 300w amp and some speakers perhaps from http://www.turbosound.com and also a dac.

then when i get a house like mikeys i will get a 15,000w system

i need this stuff to play tracks like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lkf4jSVJEq4

they would sound like crap on a mini system

Audiophile, audioshmile. Still using onboard AC'97 audio here.

1979 Sharp SM-1122 amplifier, $0 (trash find, still with its original Rubycon and Elna caps, works like new).
1978-era National [Matsushita] 6" speakers, $0 (been in family since new).
